Reese Witherspoon took her career seriously after enrolling first as a student at Stanford University. After a few early parts, including Pleasantville and Election. The character she portrayed as Elle Woods on the blockbuster Legally Blonde marked a pivotal point in her professional life. Witherspoon also won an Academy Award in the year 2005 for her role in Walk the Line. Water for Elephants This Means War was among her most recent movies she was a part of. The film also earned the actress another Oscar nomination. Witherspoon was also a highly successful TV producer as well as the star of David E. Kelley's award winning TV show Big Little Lies. Witherspoon was born Laura Jean Reese Witherspoon in New Orleans Louisiana on March 22nd, 1976. The parents of Witherspoon are a medical doctor as well as a registered nurse. The actress grew up in Nashville, Tennessee. She was the school's debutante as well as Harpeth Hall. Witherspoon took part in a local paper's call for additionals as a result of an impulse back in 1991. At just 14 years old, Witherspoon landed the lead role in her debut motion picture The Man in the Moon. In the early 2000s, she made her debut on the stage through a series of smaller television roles. In 2003, The Invisible Man was her first feature film. Then, she appeared in a variety of television series, including House of Lies Whitney, Better Call Saul and The Invisible Man. Her film credits comprise The Dictator, The Incredible Burt Wonderstone and The Dictator. In addition to her acting career she is an excellent painter, and exhibits her work at several galleries.
